Stories of Hope, Stories from Palestine is a translational genomic medical research study dedicated to improving the identification and understanding of genetic conditions affecting Palestinian families. The project is based at the University of Exeter and the Arab American University, fostering a strong collaborative network with clinicians, scientists, and community healthcare workers.
Through this research programme, we aim to uncover the causes of undiagnosed genetic conditions in Palestine. This will give families much-needed answers and provide targeted clinical management strategies for genetic conditions.
Our mission includes supporting the next generation of genomic researchers and clinicians. By encouraging student involvement from both Palestine and Exeter, we aim to create a shared learning environment where early career scientists and clinicians can contribute to meaningful discoveries and help build a healthier future for Palestinian families and beyond.
Stories of Hope reflects the power of science, collaboration, and resilience, turning ground-breaking research into real-world impact for Palestinian families and the global rare disease community.
